"is it that sweet? i guess so!" is a playlist curated around some of my favorite summertime anthems. The title and theme is based on a lyric from one of the best songs released this summer, "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter! I haven't been able to get enough of that song and thought it would be fun to curate a special playlist around it. This playlist is made up of some of my favorite sugary sweet pop songs that I love to listen to on repeat all summer long.

Sabrina Carpenter's music is obviously a staple throughout this playlist - as her music has been truly dominating this year! Taylor Swift recently declared this to be the Summer of Sabrina, "...and may it continue forever!" she said. Sabrina's new album is set to be released this August, which I am really looking forward to and I will absolutely be writing a full review of as soon as I can! If it's anything like "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" then I know it's going to be incredible! In the meantime I have been so obsessed with her last album, emails i can't send.

Since it's also brat summer, I featured a lot of Charli XCX's music throughout this playlist too. I plan on sharing many more playlists like this throughout the next few months, especially one centered around Charli's latest album - so keep an eye out for that! My full brat review is also coming soon, which I am excited to share. Other albums like Radical Optimism by Dua Lipa, 1989 (Taylor's Version) by Taylor Swift, and AR by Addison Rae, are a few more albums that I have also been really loving lately too! Other artists that are featured heavily throughout include Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears and many more!

GUTS by Olivia Rodrigo // Album Review

GUTS  is the highly anticipated sophomore release from Olivia Rodrigo , following up her massively successful debut album, SOUR , in 2021 . To have the level of success she has had right out the gate with her first-ever single "driver's license" in early 2021 is so rare and she quickly became one of the most notable pop artists to debut this decade so far. There are a lot of songs that I have come to really enjoy on this album, some of which are among my favorites of the entire year so far. When comparing  GUTS   to  SOUR ,  they are alike in a lot of ways, both sonically and aesthetically. In my opinion,  GUTS  builds upon the foundation she and her producer/co-writer, Dan Nigro, set in place with  SOUR  really well. Olivia is in such an interesting and unique position as an artist right now. SAFIYA NYGAARD x COLOURPOP COLLECTION REVIEW 🦇♥

For my first post of  the new year, I wanted to share my thoughts on one of my favorite makeup releases, the Safiya Nygaard x Colourpop collection ! Safiya is one of my favorite YouTubers and Colourpop is my favorite makeup brand, so this is a really exciting collaboration!  Safiya consistently makes a variety of really high quality and interesting videos that mainly focus on beauty and fashion. I admire how much time and research she puts into what she does, all of the work that is put into these videos really shows in the finished product. If you haven't watched her channel before, I really can't recommend it enough!  In August 2017, she started a series called " bad makeup science ", which is the basis of this new Colourpop lipstick collection. BRAT is so fun, so introspective and so Julia . The release of  BRAT  marks a bold new chapter in Charli xcx 's career that has been incredible to witness. She has been a pop music innovator from the very start, always so ahead of her time in every regard. It feels like this is now the time everyone is finally catching up to her and recognizing the artistic genius that she is on a mainstream level. Maybelline Fit Me Dewy & Smooth: Review

In my makeup routine I only ever used concealer, which I mentioned in my previous review of the Colourpop No Filter Concealer .
