MY FAVORITE RED LIPSTICKS

Today's post is going to be about my favorite red lipsticks, which is my favorite shade to wear during this time of year. Red lipstick will never go out of style! All of the products mentioned range in different tones, finishes, and price ranges - so I'm sure you'll be able to find one that best fits your preferences. Enjoy!

Crimson // Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick


This is the first red lipstick I ever owned and what really sparked my love for the shade. I got it for free in a gift with purchase from Clinique 3 or 4 years ago and it has been one of my all-time favorite lipsticks ever since. It is so comfortable on the lips and stays on all day. It's also one of the most dependable lipsticks I have, so much so that it's one of the only lipsticks I ever brought with me on vacation through the years. Sadly, Clinique discontinued this line a while ago, so I hope they bring it back one day!

I luckily found a formula that is very comparable - Flower Beauty's Petal Pout lipsticks, which is one of the best I've ever tried since this Clinique one! 

BAWSE // Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick


 If you're looking for an extremely long-wear liquid lipstick, this is the best of the best. It is a thin formula with a precise applicator to make it easy to apply. It can be drying after all day of wearing it, but if you're looking for a lipstick that stays on all day long, I can't recommend this enough. The only downside is that I wish it had more product in it, especially for the price. A few months after I bought it, it was almost empty. Regardless, this is one of the best liquid lipsticks I've ever tried!

Pointsettia // Jeffree Star Cosmetics


Jeffree Star's lip products are so dependable and consistent in quality. I rarely buy high-end makeup, but JSC products are worth every penny. "Pointsettia" is a gorgeous metallic red shade. It's very rare to find a metallic liquid lipstick that is actually good quality, long-lasting and opaque. With just one swipe, there's full pigmentation your lips. No other metallic lipstick is quite like this one. Also, the packaging is so beautiful, I love the pink glitter detailing!

Hi, How Are Ya? // Jeffree Star Cosmetics


Like I mentioned previously, Jeffree Star's lip products are amazing quality. I got this shade as a Christmas gift and I've worn it everyday since. This is more of a pink-toned red compared to the others on this list. The finish is different than any other that JSC has ever sold - when you first apply it, the lipstick goes on like any other Velour liquid lipstick. If you wait for it to dry for a minute or so, rub your lips together to reveal a beautiful coating of pink and red glitter all over your lips. It's such an innovative product! 

 Since there is glitter infused in the formula, it is going to be a bit dryer than the other Velour liquid lipsticks. The dryness is not much different in comparison to any other matte liquid lipstick, so it is nothing out of the ordinary. I also love the packaging from the Alien Holiday collection - it looks even more beautiful in person!

Poppy Petal // Flower Beauty HydraSilk Ultimate Lip Butter 



This product feels like a lip balm, but gives the pigmentation of a lipstick. Since it is a lighter hydrating formula, it doesn't last very long on the lips, so you'll probably need to reapply once or twice throughout the day. It wears off evenly and leaves a light stain on the lips, too. This would be a good option for you if you don't really like wearing heavy lipsticks, but you want the effect of one. This shade in particular is a beautiful orange-toned red that is especially great in the summertime. 

Molten // Flower Beauty Galaxy Glaze Holographic Gloss



I normally never like red glosses, but this is an exception. It is such a beautiful gloss that has opaque coverage and can be worn alone or over lipstick. It has flecks of gold and red glitter which add so much dimension to the lips. This is my all time favorite gloss formula and I highly recommend checking out any of the other shades, as well! You won't be disappointed!

Unicorn Blood // Jeffree Star Lip Ammunition



In comparison to the other lipsticks on this list, "Unicorn Blood" is the darkest. It's a beautiful deep red shade that is perfect to wear this time of year. It surprisingly lasts so long on the lips for being a crème product. I normally go for a long-wear matte lipstick for darker shades like this, but the Lip Ammo formula wears just as long as any of my liquid lipsticks. This is another one of my all time favorite lipsticks in my collection!

Snow White // Colourpop Lux Lipstick



This classic candy apple red is fit for a princess! This shade is limited edition and from the Disney Designer x Colourpop collection I did a full review of a few months ago that you can read about here, if you're interested! I bought 2 Lux Lipsticks from this collection and I was so impressed with the quality and longevity of them. Colourpop has a gorgeous arrangement of shades on their website, so there's a lipstick to fit everyone's taste. I also think they did a really great job curating this collection and creating products based around the princesses.

"Denial Is A River" by Doechii // Song Review

Doechii 's "Denial Is A River" is a sharply written story of her deeply personal struggles she has faced throughout her life, especially over the past few years. All while doing so, she also incorporates so much of her signature humor within it too. She is such a dynamic and captivating storyteller, one that is simultaneously very funny and clever, but also very real and honest.  In an interview with  Rolling Stone , Doechii opened up about the time in her life that inspired this song. "With 'Denial Is a River,' I felt some fear there because it's really me being extremely literal and vulnerable about my situation. It is a very vulnerable thing, especially as an artist," she said. When all is said and done, you'll believe God is a Woman!  I absolutely love all of the  fragrances   Ariana Grande  has released over the years, so when I found out that she was coming out with another I was so excited! Her song " God is a Woman " is also so iconic and one of my all-time favorites, so that made me look forward to it even more. I have been using it consistently for several months so I will able to give the most in-depth review I possibly can of this product. "California" by Joni Mitchell // Song Review

Joni Mitchell wrote "California" all over the world, each verse was written in a different country and vividly depicts both the physical and emotional place she was at in those moments. From France, to Spain, to Greece, she writes a travelogue of her time in each country, but continuously wishes she were home in California instead. "Sitting in a park in Paris, France, reading the news and it sure looks bad," Joni sings in the opening lines of the song. "They won't give peace a chance, that was just a dream some of us had". She wrote this song in a very conversational, stream-of-consciousness style. The release of Justin Bieber 's My World 2.0 was a defining moment in pop culture history and signified the birth of one of the biggest phenomenon's the music industry has ever seen. My World 2.0  had an undeniable impact on music trends of the early 2010s and truly solidified him as the voice of a new generation.
