5SOS MEET YOU THERE TOUR 2018

5 Seconds Of Summer has been one of my all-time favorite bands for the past 5 years. This was my fourth time seeing them live, and they get better and better every time! 

 They opened the show with "Babylon", which is a bonus track on the deluxe edition of their new album, "Youngblood". This is one of the best songs on the album, and I know it's also a fan-favorite, so this was a great choice of a song to come out to.

The set list was the perfect mix of their older songs and songs from their new album. They actually played more of their older songs than I thought they would, but they did leave out some of my favorites like, "Good Girls", "Heartbreak Girl", and "Permanent Vacation". I loved the energy in the venue when they played their classics like;  "She's Kinda Hot", "Girls Talk Boys", "Waste The Night", "Amnesia", and of course, "She Looks So Perfect". They also played "Jet Black Heart", which is one of my favorites to hear live. I love how after all these years, everyone still knew all of the words to those songs - that made me so happy!

 Their newest album has more of a mature sound than their last 2 albums, but it still sounds very true to who they always were as a band. Songs like "Talk Fast" and "If Walls Could Talk" remind me a lot of their older music, while also being current with their newer sound. The Meet You There Tour has by far the most extravagant stage design out of their other tours. It actually reminds me a lot of The 1975's stage for their tours with all of the neon lights. The colors of the neon lights changed with every song to fit the aesthetic of the sound.  







They are always so energetic and interactive with the crowd for every show. The crowd has the same energy, singing along to every word of every song, which adds so much to my overall experience when the people around you are enjoying the show as much as I am. 


The encore was "She Looks So Perfect" & "Youngblood", which was the perfect way to end the show!

It's hard to say what my favorite moments of the night were, because I really did love every song they played. Everything about the show was truly incredible!

I love getting to see them grow with each album they release and every performance they do. I can't wait to see what they do in the future! If you've never seen 5SOS live before, I highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed!

Seeing Billie Eilish perform live for the first time on the second night of her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT Tour in New York City was such an unforgettable experience! I have been lucky enough to have seen so many of my favorite artists live over the years, but this was truly the greatest show I have ever been to. SAFIYA NYGAARD x COLOURPOP COLLECTION REVIEW 🦇♥

For my first post of  the new year, I wanted to share my thoughts on one of my favorite makeup releases, the Safiya Nygaard x Colourpop collection ! Safiya is one of my favorite YouTubers and Colourpop is my favorite makeup brand, so this is a really exciting collaboration!  Safiya consistently makes a variety of really high quality and interesting videos that mainly focus on beauty and fashion. I admire how much time and research she puts into what she does, all of the work that is put into these videos really shows in the finished product. If you haven't watched her channel before, I really can't recommend it enough!  In August 2017, she started a series called " bad makeup science ", which is the basis of this new Colourpop lipstick collection. Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes? One Direction 's fourth album, aptly titled Four , marked significant beginnings and ends for the band. In many ways it marked a new era for all five of them, as they were able to have significantly more creative freedom with the overall creation of these songs. In turn, that elevated the band's sound to something much closer to their own personal influences and life experiences.  It is the best album they made as a band, between the release of  Midnight Memories  in 2013 and  Four  in 2014, they showed such a huge leap in personal growth and were fully solidified as some of the greatest pop stars of all time.
